Meet the People Behind the Analysis

We're not a faceless consultancy. Just a small group who got tired of watching good businesses struggle with working capital decisions because the advice out there was either too generic or impossibly complex. So we decided to do something about it.

Who We Actually Are

Three people with different backgrounds who ended up caring about the same thing. We've made plenty of mistakes along the way, which honestly makes us better at what we do now.

Finn Kowalski working capital specialist

Finn Kowalski

Cash Flow Specialist

Started in manufacturing finance back in 2012. Spent years watching companies panic over cash gaps that were completely predictable. Now focuses on helping businesses see their working capital patterns before they become problems. Based in Perth, usually answers emails way too early in the morning.

Maren Doyle

Analysis Lead

Came from retail analytics where she got really good at spotting inventory issues. Joined us in 2018 because she wanted to work with smaller businesses who actually listen to advice. Has an annoying habit of being right about seasonal cash patterns. Makes excellent spreadsheets and terrible coffee.

Client Relations

Former business owner who learned about working capital the hard way during a supply chain crisis in 2019. That experience led him here. Now helps clients understand their numbers without the jargon. Good at explaining complicated stuff in normal language. Drinks too much tea during client calls.

How We Actually Work With You

We start by looking at your real numbers. Not projections or industry averages, but what's actually happening in your business right now. Takes about two weeks to get a clear picture of your working capital cycle.

Then we sit down and talk through what we found. No forty-slide presentations. Just a conversation about where your cash is getting stuck and what options you have. Some clients need help with payables timing, others with inventory levels. It varies.

After that, you decide what makes sense. We're available for questions as you put things into practice. Most clients check in monthly for the first few months, then quarterly once things stabilize. Some keep working with us long-term, others don't need to. Both outcomes are fine.

What Matters to Us

These aren't aspirational values we put on the website. They're the things we actually care about when working with clients.

Real Numbers Over Theory

We work with your actual data, not textbook examples. Every business has weird quirks in their cash cycle. That's normal. Our job is to understand your specific situation, not force you into a generic framework.

Honest About Limitations

Sometimes the answer is that you need more revenue, not better working capital management. We'll tell you that. And if your problem is outside our area, we'll point you toward someone who can actually help.

Plain Language Always

Financial jargon makes people feel stupid. It's not helpful. We explain things in normal words. If something isn't clear, that's on us to fix, not you to figure out.

Long-Term Thinking

Quick fixes usually create bigger problems down the road. We focus on changes that will still make sense in two years. That means sometimes recommending slower adjustments that stick rather than dramatic moves that don't.

Why We Focus on Working Capital

Because it's the thing that kills profitable businesses. You can have great margins and growing sales, but if your cash is tied up in inventory or stuck in receivables, you can't pay your bills. We've seen it happen too many times.

Working capital isn't glamorous. Nobody starts a business excited about managing payment terms. But getting it right means you sleep better and have actual options when opportunities come up.

We started focusing exclusively on this in 2016 after realizing that most financial advice for small businesses skips right over it. Everyone talks about revenue growth or cost cutting. But working capital management is where a lot of businesses either stabilize or fall apart.
